David Yoss
David Yoss is a E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner.
He began practicing Yoga and studying Ayurveda just over 20 years ago while attending Dartmouth College, where he graduated with a degree with Anthropology, exploring the evolution of humanity and the diversity of cultures in the world. After finishing his degree, he went on to study Ayurveda at the Ayurvedic Institute and completed their ASP I, ASP II, and Gurukula programs, working closely with Dr. Vasant Lad, one of the foremost experts globally in Ayurveda.
He has taught both Ayurveda and Yoga extensively since all over the world, including teaching at the Ayurvedic Institute itself. He has been teaching full time for more than 12 years.
At the Ayurvedic Institute, he taught an extensive range of topics, such as Yoga, Nutrition, Sanskrit, Herbology, Herbal Preparations, Lifestyle Practices, and Clinical Practice.
He also co-lead the Teacher Training Program at Sani Yoga for 8 years, and is a visiting teacher for the Lakshmi Rising School for Yoga & Wellness 200 & 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program.
David is passionate about issues of accessibility and equity, both within the communities of Yoga and Ayurveda and in the broader world. He loves science, art, music, language, and culture and sees a wonderful integration of all of these tools for improving life and happiness in the fields of Yoga and Ayurveda.
David loves to teach and share and help people gain knowledge which can lead to their self-empowerment. He is known to use stories and humorous anecdotes to create an authentic and fun learning environment.
